Dejlig er Norden

DR Koncerthuset

We love to tease each other. We are arch-enemies when we meet in sports contexts. We have also been at war with each other several times. But we also have a lot in common. The Nordic countries share culture, history, values, language and humour in a unique friendship that stretches back for thousands of years.

We celebrate this friendship on 15 April with a big gala show in the concert hall in the DR concert hall. The Gala show is held in connection with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the association NORDEN, which was founded as a peace movement after the First World War and later played an active political role in connection with the establishment of the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The exhibition is based on the societies and similarities that the Nordic countries have built up over time, but as in all sibling relationships, there is also room for love to tease.

From Moomin to Mø - Nordic artists has aroused resonance all over the world. But what are the common characteristics of Nordic culture really? During the show, we take a journey through Nordic music, literature, TV and cooking in search of what binds us together as people and cultures.

Several Nordic musicians who meet over genres and borders will join us on stage - from pop and jazz to hip hop, classic and choir singing. On the stage you will also find comedians, dancers and actors from the five Nordic countries.

Join us on a warm and entertaining evening when the Nordic community is celebrated with a magnificent gala in the concert hall. A performance that abounds in Nordic music, literature, history and humour in a celebration of our common past, present and future.
