Björk - Cornucopia Tour

The audience is promised to experience a magical, spectacular and mind-opening show when the Icelandic icon Björk brings her Cornucopia Tour to Copenhagen´s Royal Arena on 5 December. From writing, arranging and producing a broad music catalogue to exploring virtual reality and digital apps, Björk has inspired, experimented and blurred the lines in the musical world throughout four decades.

Christiania Julemarked

The Christmas market in Christiania has been well-visited by locals and tourists since the 1970s. Besides being the most beautiful and most exotic market north of the Alps, it's also a place where you can catch up with old friends. From 8 December.

Duncan Laurence

Duncan Laurence represented the Netherlands in this year of the Eurovision Song Contest with "Arcade" and he ended up taking home the trophy. Laurence wrote the song in the memory of one of his friends, whose life ended far too soon. The lyric and melody were created naturally, and "Arcade" got its expanded sound universe. The song changed from being a personal story, to something everyone can relate to. VEGA, 12 December.

Santa Lucia parade in kayaks

On St. Lucia's Day, a chorus of 100 singing luciabørn is parading Haven. Take this opportunity to explore the seasonal stalls and decoration while Tivoli is transformed into a Christmas lover's paradise. The Lucia performance is included in the regular entrance ticket.

New Year's Eve in Copenhagen

A romantic dinner with your special someone or a wild New Year's Eve party with your friends - you will find it all in Copenhagen!

Watch the Queen's New Year's speech on TV at 18:00. At midnight, listen to the City Hall clock strike 12, then sing along to the national anthem and have a piece of the traditional marzipan cake, ‘kransekage', along with a glass of champagne.

Party till the break of dawn while the fireworks roar, and you have celebrated New Year's like a true Dane.

If you want to combine a classic Copenhagen attraction with a unique celebration of the last night of the year, Tivoli Gardens is the perfect choice. Open on New Year's Eve, you can enjoy a nice dinner at one of the gardens' restaurants, take the rides until 10pm and watch the superior fireworks show light the sky at midnight.
