Duncan Laurence Duncan Laurence represented the Netherlands in this year of the Eurovision Song Contest with "Arcade" and he ended up taking home the trophy. Laurence wrote the song in the memory of one of his friends, whose life ended far too soon. The lyric and melody were created naturally, and "Arcade" got its expanded sound universe.
