Post Malone | Royal Arena One the world's most popular artists, Post Malone, has played for soldout arenas everytime he's visisted Denmark. Now he is coming back to play his biggest headline concert so far in Royal Arena Saturday 2 March. Fastelavn Fastelavn means "fast-evening". It was first a celebration for adults with different competitions, games and activities. However, nowadays the Fastelavn celebrations have become associated with kids. There are two main traditions connected with Fastelavn: the first is eating buns with different fillings, like marzipan and you can find these buns in every bakery during the holiday. The second is the children dressing up in costumes and they play a game: they must hit a barrel filled with sweets and presents and the first child to make a hole in the barrel will be proclaimed King of Queen of the Cats. This because of back in the day, there used to be real cats in the barrels and the aim of custom, was to drive away the evil spirits - because cats were believed to be connected to the devil. Fastelavn is celebrated on 3 March. Chokoladefestival | Tap1 During the weekend of 9 and 10 March, visitors at Chokloladefestivalen 2019 will get unlimited access to the world of chocolate. At the festival, which is held at Tap1, there will be a large collection of chocolate makers and chocolate exhibitors in the one and same place. There will also be demo-kitchen available, with informative workshops, exciting lectures and tastings, as well as demonstrations the latest chocolate trends. Andrea Bocelli | Royal Arena The audience at Andrea Bocelli´s concert at Royal Arena on 12 March, have a magical evening to look forward to, when the super tenor visits Copenhagen. Together with Stockholm Concert Orchestra and a magnificent choir, Bocelli will perform some of the most famous Opera arias, as well as his own popular hits. Danmarks Læringsfestival | Bella Center Copenhagen Denmark's Læringsfestival is a yearly event, which this year is arranged between 13 and 14 March in Bella Center Copenhagen. This is the perfect event for teachers/consultants/students/educators/leaders to be inspired and get updated on the latest trends. The event gathers over 8.000 professionals from the teaching world and feature different conferences and exhibitions. St Patrick's Day "Everyone is Irish on St Patrick's Day" On Sunday, 17 March Copenhagen will celebrate the Irish' National Day with an afternoon of celebration filled with traditional, Irish music and dancing at Rådhuspladsen. This is followed by a green Copenhagen St. Patrick's Day Parade through the streets of Copenhagen, in everyone are welcome to participate - the only requirement is that you are wearing something green: a hat, an umbrella, a scarf, maybe you have coloured your hair green for the celebration's sake - the only limit is your imagination. Fleurie | Hotel Cecil The acclaimed Nashville-based singer/songwriter Fleurie will bring her cinematic pop to Hotel Cecil in central Copenhagen on 20 March. After millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify during the past few years, Fleurie's debut album Portals was finally released, on which she has created a sound with the help of both organic and electronic orchestration that is mixing everything from folk to electronic pop. Fleurie has a clear and visual access to her music, just like her songs which have been featured in several movie and TV series, such as "The Originals", "Reign" and "Shadowhunters". The concert is part of the Audio: Visuals-concert programme during CPH:DOX. Nordic Meetings & Events Expo 2019 | Bella Center Copenhagen Nordic Meetings & Events Expo is the largest fair about meeting/conference/events in Northern Europe. The fair is an annual event and in 2019, it's held between 27 and 28 March in Bella Center Copenhagen. Over 300 exhibitors from both Denmark and abroad will display their knowledge of the meeting -and conference world.
