CIRQUE DU SOLEIL | Corteo d 3.-6. November | VEGA Corteo, one of the most loved Cirque du Soleil shows, is coming to Denmark.Corteo, is one of Cirque du Soleil's most enchanting performances. The performance is directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca and originally premiered in the Big Top (tent) in Montreal in 2005. Since then, the show has been a huge success and has been seen by more than 9 million people in 19 countries worldwide.Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a clown's performance of a festive parade. The show brings together the passion of acting with the power and energy of acrobatics. The audience is thrown into a theater world full of fun, comedy and spontaneity in a space between heaven and earth. The clown imagines his own funeral, which takes place in the middle of a carnival, while silent and caring angels look on. Envisioning the grand in juxtaposition with the small, the ridiculous versus the tragic, and the magic of the perfect versus the charm of imperfection, the show highlights the strengths and fragility of the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness-the humanity that lies within U.S. all. The music is lyrical and playful and carries Corteo through a timeless party where illusion teases reality. The design of the stage brings the audience into a theatrical world that has not previously been seen in a Cirque du Soleil performance. The theater carpet is inspired by the Eiffel Tower and other carpets are hand painted to create just the right poetic atmosphere in Corteo. The cast consists of 51 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from all over the world.
