The Music of Lion King

Come and feel the rhythms of Africa, the scent of the savannah, the humidity of the rainforest and the warmth of the desert - the feeling of being in the world of lions.

Join us on a musical journey in the Concert Hall with the greatest hits from "The Lion King" written by Sir Elton John and Hans Zimmer, presented by solo artists from Broadway and the music from the Symphony Orchestra Broadway Symphony Orchestra. Experience i.a. "Circle Of Life", "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" and "Hakuna Matata". "The Lion King" on Broadway has broken one record after another, not least thanks to the fantastic music.

Now you can hear some of the familiar tunes in the DR Concert Hall when solo artists from Broadway and the Broadway Symphony Orchestra visit the Concert Hall for the gala concert "The Music of the Lion King", where Sir Elton John and Hans Zimmer's beautiful music is performed along with some of Africa's most amazing songs.

Audiences can also look forward to versions of Beyonce's songs for the latest film adaptation of "The Lion King" from 2019 and "My Heart Belongs to You" from "Tarzan" written by Phil Collins.

The composition of the African songs, melodies and rhythms and Hans Zimmer's soundtrack as well as Sir Elton John's pop music make "The Music of Lion King" a musical journey to the colorful and beautiful African continent - where hits like "Hakuna Matata", "Can You Feel The Love Tonight "," I Just Can't Wait To Be King "and of course" Circle Of Life "still reign.

The Lord Of The Rings & The Hobbit

Experience J. R. R. Tolkien's masterpieces "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" as a concert in the Concert Hall with symphony orchestra and choir. For the concert, versions of the Oscar-winning music by i.a. Howard Shore and Ed Sheeran.

Be led into Tolkien's legendary world of "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit", where hobbits and elves are brought to life in this two-hour musical event performed by the 50-man Symphony Orchestra, State Academic Symphony Orchestra, from Belarus.

Through the music you can experience the menacing Mordor, the shrill attacks of the black riders, the beautiful lyrical melodies from the elves and the cheerful world of the hobbits, when the almost 100 performing artists present a musical version of "Middle-earth". This concert is the only one that has been allowed by the Tolkien family to transform from the books to music and poetry.

The press describes the concert as a very emotional and empathetic experience. The nearly 100 performers - from actors and musicians to the vocals of the Shire Choir - are praised for their great ability to introduce audiences into Tolkien's world-famous fantasy world. Not least, the orchestra's fantastic music captures the audience for the films - for its images and emotions.

There will be illustrations on big screens of artist Ted Nasmith, a member of the Tolkien Society. All illustrations and artwork have been created in close collaboration with the Tolkien Society.

This is how any adventure begins and the musical Into The Woods is no exception. Take all the best Brdr. Ugly fairy tales you know, shake them well together, add phenomenal singers, actors and musicians - and spice it up with a sharp and amazing stage show, where even the Glass Hall's stage space is transformed - then you have the recipe for a magnificent story unparalleled.

From the first note, struck by the large 15-man live orchestra, we are led through an adventurous universe, where all the familiar characters are woven in and out of each other's stories and meet crosswise in Peter Langdal's seductive staging.

The star-studded cast consists of some of Denmark's best actors and singers, including Stig Rossen, Julie Steincke, Joachim Knop, Henrik Launbjerg, Silke Biranell and many more. The critically acclaimed set-up has been called "a luxury set-up beyond the ordinary" and "the best performance in Tivoli for many years".

The music is written by Stephen Sondheim, possibly the greatest musical composer of recent times. He is behind other successes such as West Side Story, Sweeney Todd and the modern classic "Send in the Clowns" from A little night Music, which over time has been immortalized by some of the greatest singers and musicians of our time, among others. Frank Sinatra and Judi Dench. Look forward to a unique musical universe with beautiful melodies that touch and excite!

Whitney Houston's many fans can look forward to this wonderful tribute concert "The Greatest Love of All" in the Concert Hall with South African Belinda Davids, who sings the biggest hits from one of the world's most popular singers of all time.

Ever since the tragic death of Whitney Houton in February 2012, her fans around the world have wished for a beautiful and strong tribute concert that could honor the unique singer - and it is now a reality when "The Greatest Love of All - A tribute to Whitney Houston starring Belinda Davids "takes place in the Concert Hall.

The audience can look forward to an international and hand-picked team of singers and dancers from all over the world - and in the selection of the singer who was to sing Whitney Houston's songs, it turned out to be an unusually difficult task to solve. More than 15,000 auditions were held across 11 countries, and after four months of intense efforts to find the right one, the team behind the tribute concert was about to give up.

However, the singer appeared in Cape Town, where the South African Belinda Davids took the stage in such a way that the cast was convinced the moment they heard her sing - not only impressive Belinda Davids audience with her beautiful voice, but she also has an energy and charm , which goes straight to the heart of the audience - just as Whitney Houston won the hearts of music lovers around the world.
